Let us begin...
Before installing the SCS, please remove your hop assembly and check it if it has defects. It is very important to remove every part in the hop assembly to make sure that these defects are not present.
Here is an example of a JG plastic hop assembly with a plastic "burr" or "flash" that came from the factory molding process...
Here is an example of a metal hop assembly with metal burrs...

These defects should be removed so that the SCS will be able to pass through the barrel window properly. I use an X-Acto knife and some needle files to remove these defects. It should look like this after the defect is removed...

Another problem with the hop up assembly is the hop up lever. Sometimes they are of poor quality and the outcome is an uneven hop lever cup that will hold the SCS in its place. Please notice that one half of the hop lever and cup is higher on the left side...

To make the hop lever cup horizontally level, I use a round needle file to fix it and make it perfectly level...
The hop lever cup should look like this after...

I also file down the two tips of the cup to make it horizontally level by using a flat needle file...

After it has been filed down, it should look like this...

I put Super Lube Grease w/ Syncolon (PTFE) on the hop lever cup and place the SCS on top in order for me to see if it is perfectly horizontal. If one side of the SCS is higher, just file down the portion of the hop lever cup until you perfectly align the SCS horizontally...
Wait! There's more...Please check your barrel window if both sides are even and the sharp edges should be removed to avoid a torn hop bucking. On the left is a very ugly barrel window and on the right is the modified barrel window...

Here is a video on how to align the barrel window. Make sure that the two sides of the barrel window are equal...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFEXFPjlQR0After doing all of these mods, reassemble everything back and this is how the hop rubber protrusion through the barrel window should look like...

The hop bucking protrusion through the barrel window when pushed by the SCS with the aid of the hop lever should be equal. Here is a pic of what the shape of the SCS and hop bucking looks like when the bb is directly beneath it...

Remember to clean your barrel first and always set your hop up to zero before firing. PLEASE set the hop dial in very small increments while firing some bb's until you get your desired range.
I set my hop up when I see the bb's fly straight at 30 meters. If I can do it, so can you.

It is sooo easy for me to fix accuracy/groupings/range problems with whatever AEG's or Sniper Rifles because I have learned all the problems. I believe that you can do it too! Do not be shy to ask me for I will always be there to help.
